   £74,000 in aid of Dukes Barn, Over The Wall
   and Leicestershire Clubs for Young People.

Dukes Barn provides a safe and adventurous play
     environment in which people of all ages and abilities
     can experience exciting activities, meet personal
    
challenges, develop an awareness of the needs of
     others, and gain a wider appreciation of the natural
     environment.

    > Over The Wall

     Residential activity camps during the Easter and
     summer holidays to children aged 8-17, who are
     affected by serious illnesses. Over The Wall help
     children to rebuild their confidence and self esteem by
     encouraging them to take part in a range of activities
     such as kayaking, climbing, horse riding, archers, arts
     & crafts, technology and media, as well as a weekly
     talent show and disco.

    > Leicestershire Clubs for Young People

    
LCYP provides young people with opportunities for
     physical, creative and social activities, which are both
     educational and enjoyable. Residential courses are also
     offered. LCYP aims to provide opportunities for its
     members to realise their full potential and thereby
     become the responsible citizens of tomorrow.

    > Home Start

   
Through a network of nearly 16,000 trained parent volunteers, Home
    Start support thousands of parents who are struggling to cope. They
    provide support for many reasons including post-natal illness, disability,
    bereavement, the illness of a parent or child, or social isolation.

    > Churchtown Activity Centre

   
An accessible centre for adults and children with physical, sensory
    and learning disabilities. Between April and October, Churchtown
    offers activity break for groups, schools or colleges inaccessible,
    dormitory-style accommodation, and offers a range of activities
    including canoeing, archery, abseiling and rock climbing.

    > Alton Castle Residential Centre

    Alton Castle is a residential youth centre working with children aged
    between 9 and 13. Over 8,000 children visit the Castle each year,
    mainly with schools but also from other children's organisations, such
    as youth groups and charities who work with children with disabilities.

    The children participate in a variety of activities during their
    stay, including mountain biking, trekking, archery, and survival.

> Kith and Kids

    Kith and Kids' empower families living with disability to overcome their
    social isolation and access to the services they need, by providing
    support, activities and a common meeting ground for families who
    have a person with learning, physical and/or sensory disabilities. Kith
    and Kids offers a range of volunteer-supported projects and services,
    including social development projects, weekend clubs, and a residential
    summer camp.

    > When You Wish Upon A Star

    Aims to grant the 'Wishes' of children suffering from a life threatening
    illness, from the age of 2 to 16. Being able to look forward to a
    wonderful treat is sometimes the inspiration needed to keep the whole
    family going - and each day, this charity helps children realise these
    dreams.

> Calvert Trust

    For over 30 years, Calvert Trust has been enabling people with
    disabilities, together with their families and friends, to achieve their
    potential through outdoor adventure activities in the countryside.

    Today its three centres welcome over 11,000 visitors each year,
    helping them challenge disability through outdoor adventure and
    providing more opportunities to find out that "it's what you CAN do
    that counts!"

    > Low Mill Outdoor Centre

    High quality all-inclusive residential and day outdoor education
    experiences and able to accommodate those with special needs and
    abilities. Activities include rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, canoeing,

> Riding for the Disabled Association

    RDA works across the spectrum of disabilities, age range, social status
    and urban and rural environments, to ensure that each individual has
    the chance to achieve their personal goal - whether that be learning a
    very simple skill, or winning a major competition.

    RDA combats social isolation by enabling young people to build
    relationships, enjoy evens and competition, and develop self confidence,
    whilst also developing the life skills of communication, taking
    responsibility and being a team  player.

    > Great Ormond Street Hospital

    Provides world-class care for its young patients and their families
    and to pioneer new treatments and cures for childhood illness by
    contributing to the rebuilding and refurbishment of the hospital;
    Funding the most up-to-date equipment; Supporting research into,
    and development of breakthrough treatments; and providing
    accommodation and other support services for children and their
    families.

    > Guide Dogs for the Blind

   
Guide Dogs for the Blind have been expertly breeding and training guide
    dogs for more than 75 years, providing many thousands to blind and
    partially-sighted people of all ages and from all walks of life.

    They deliver confidence-building rehabilitation services to adults, young
    people and children - including long cane mobility training and
    communication and daily living skills.
