Kilworth Challenge now a Registered Charity

The Kilworth Challenge has become a Registered Charity after a great deal of
work and effort by the event's organisers.

This breakthrough affords The Kilworth Challenge favourable tax status as a
non-for-profit organisation. The end result? Your money goes much further
in supporting the lives of those we support - see 'Gift Aid & Reclaiming tax paid
    on your donations' below.

Gift Aid & Reclaiming tax paid on your donations

    What?
Through Gift Aid, The Kilworth Challenge can now reclaim tax relief on money
donated from UK taxpayers. Through Gift Aid, the tax man treats donations
as if you, the donor, have already deducted basic rate tax from them.

This tax relief increases the value of your donation significantly! However, in
order to benefit, donors must provide us with a Gift Aid declaration, detailing
their name, address, and confirmation that they have paid enough UK tax to
    cover the tax we reclaim.

Under the Gift Aid scheme, we can claim an extra 25% in tax on every eligible
donation by a UK tax payer. Additionally, and for this year only, the government
will also give us an extra 3% on all eligible donations, and without affecting your
    tax position.

    How?
We work with JustGiving to reclaim the extra 25% tax. JustGiving automate the
process of Gift Aid, so that every donation is worth more to us and costs less to
    process.
